Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Susy Sun has quietly carved out a sound full of organic subtleties and inviting depths, offering a dreamy combination of folk, classical and vintage pop.

Her early years were spent in rural Washington, waltzing through apple orchards and studying classical piano. Later she traded the stages of the PNW for Southern California and debuted her songwriting to the wider world with her 2019 LP The Way The Wind Blows .

As Sun continued to develop her sound she was drawn to a more organic recording approach. Her follow-up album On Ivar Hill was released in 2023 which she co-produced and recorded with a band, live to tape. These songs cover a sprawling stylistic range but an ever-present combination that feels timeless and moving.

River Talk is Sun’s third studio album. It is a collection of folk lullabies which signify her appreciation for nature and meditate on life and loss. The album was recorded at Electrosound in Beachwood Canyon and at her home in Los Angeles. Both the intimate setting and vintage recording setup helped capture the honesty in Sun’s vocal performance and her vulnerability through song.
